FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why the Change?

The two-step process ensures consistency across all clubs in Australia and helps allocate resources more effectively to grassroots and national football programs.

Why do we pay fees to multiple organisations?

Each organisation plays a distinct role in your football journey:

  • Club fees support your local team.

  • Football Queensland fees fund regional programs, competitions, and insurance.

  • Football Australia fees support national teams and programs that benefit all players nationwide.

Can I play without completing both registrations?

No. To be eligible for preseason games, fixtures, or matches, players must complete all registrations and payments on both platforms.

What happens if I miss the registration deadline?

Late registrations prevent you from playing or training on the field, so we recommend completing the process promptly.

What do these fees cover?

The fees are split because they cover different aspects of your football experience. Here’s the breakdown:

MCE FC Club Fees (Part of the Squadi Platform registration).

  • Covers the seasons fees and local expenses directly related to your club, such as:

    • Match and referee fees

    • Training shirt and jersey (juniors)

    • Training equipment

    • Team photo and medal

    • Lighting costs for training and games

    • Grounds, field, and facility maintenance

    • Technical and club staff

    • Local administration costs

Football Queensland Fees (Squadi Platform)

  • Supports regional football development and operations, including:

    • Running competitions and leagues

    • Player insurance

    • Grassroots football programs

    • Referee training and development

Football Australia Fees (Play Football v2.0 Platform)

  • Covers national football governance and development, such as:

    • Supporting national teams like the Socceroos and Matildas

    • Developing grassroots programs and elite pathways

    • Maintaining and improving football infrastructure across Australia

Can I use my Fair Play Voucher for soccer fees?

Yes, we accept Fair Play Vouchers for Soccer Fees. These can be used when setting up Instalment Plans and paying in Full in Squadi. This is the procedure for each: -

Full Fees - Simply add the Fair Play Voucher Code in when requested to do so. Then email a copy of your Fair Play Voucher (pdf file) to Registrar@MoretonCityExcelsiorFC.com for processing. We will claim the Voucher and then credit the amount received by the Queensland Government to your fees in Squadi

Instalment Plans - Register in Squadi and set up your Instalment Plan. Squadi will not ask for your Fair Play Voucher Code during this process. However, set it up and then email a copy of your Fair Play Voucher (pdf file) to Registrar@MoretonCityExcelsiorFC.com for processing. We will claim the Voucher and then credit the amount received by the Queensland Government to your fees in Squadi. This will then reduce your Monthly Instalment Fee due the following month.

Is there anything else players need to purchase?

Players will need black shorts and socks (available from the MCE Merchandise store), and will need their own football boots, shin pads, water bottle(s), and sunscreen.
